Bible quote:

But you, Lord, reign eternally;
your name lives on for generations.

Psalm 102:12

MEBAHIAH: 'THE ARRIVAL OF A NOBLE AND ELEVATED SOUL

Twelve years, twelve long and painful years had already elapsed since the Master builder, the chunky Mebahiah, married the beautiful Yesiah, and yet Divine Grace had not yet visited his abode by allowing the womb of his beloved wife to be fertilized.

A deep disappointment is spoken of by the Master. He did not understand how other families had children and more children, while they, no matter how much they worked and served, were not rewarded with that joy.

Mebahiah would have given all his wealth if in exchange he could get a soul to choose to come to his house. He was no longer a young man, and although with his physical strength he was able to transport the universe on his back, the same could not be said for his spiritual strength.

Those twelve years of waiting had destroyed his faith, his hope. He no longer believed in anything, and that had made him a distant, unsociable and abrupt being.

One day, a palace envoy arrived in town with an edict proclaimed by the king:

-The Sovereign will reward with the achievement of any desire to build a Temple.

Linda, Mebahiah's wife was very happy to hear the news, and with that enthusiasm she went to meet her husband, as she was looking forward to his appearance.

But soon that hope would fade. Your husband didn't want to hear about any more construction work. He had devoted his whole life to it, and what had he achieved?

Time passed and Mebahiah continued to feed that hatred, but in spite of that, he could not avoid receiving that visit.

-I see that you are afflicted by a deep pain," said that soft voice behind his back.

Mebahiah became a little annoyed, but he had to suppress his heated words, for the king was before him.

-Your Majesty, you in my humble house, I respectfully greet the Master Builder.

-Don't panic, my visit is desperate. My body is aging with the passing of the years, and behold, my spirit is thirsty for light and cannot find a sacred place to satisfy his thirst. The best builders of all the kingdoms have gathered in the palace, but none of them manage to raise the columns of the Temple. They seek only prestige, honor, wealth, and what they build today is destroyed tomorrow. Do you understand my pain now? But tell me, what is yours? for I can read the features of bitterness on your face," asked the king.

Mebahiah explained the reasons for his affliction to the Sovereign and this lament could not satisfy his need. Seeing that he could offer nothing, he decided to ask for nothing.

But the Master understood that he had to break his silence and serve his king. And so he let him know.

After nine moons, the columns of the Temple rose and never again vanished. The king already had a sanctuary where he could give joy to his spirit, but that would not be the only achievement, since Mebahiah and Linda saw their family grow, and this was thanks to the birth of a noble and elevated soul who from heaven decided to visit the dwelling of the Master Builder.
